Landscaping
Farmhouses
Avenue planting, orchards, shade trees and boundary screening on larger plots.
On an acre and up the problem stops being design and becomes logistics and water. The planting is simple; getting four hundred plants to site alive, and keeping them watered through the first summer, is the job.
We plant for the shape the place will have in ten years, not for the day the photographs are taken. An avenue planted at the right spacing looks thin for three seasons and right for fifty.
Typical scale
1 – 10 acres
Every job is quoted after a site visit. There is no price list for this work — the cost follows the site, the access and the planting.

How this work runs
Avenue and boundary planting
Palms, ashoka or shade trees at proper centres, set out with a line rather than by eye.
Orchard blocks
Mango, citrus and guava in grafted stock, laid out for the machinery that will have to get between them.
Irrigation planned first
Where the water comes from, and how it reaches the far corner, decided before anything is planted.
Delivery by rail or our own truck
Large stock travels as freight. We handle the booking and the unloading.
The commonest mistake
Planting an avenue too close together because it looks sparse on day one. Five years later every third tree has to come out.
Six stages, every job
You sign off at each one. Nothing is planted before the drawing is agreed.
- 01
Site visit
We come and look. Aspect, soil, drainage, existing trees, what the neighbours’ walls do to the light, and what you actually want to use the space for.
- 02
Plan and quote
A planting plan with species and quantities, and an itemised cost covering plants, materials, labour and delivery. Nothing is ordered until you have agreed it.
- 03
Ground works
Levelling, drainage, bed construction, irrigation lines and hard landscaping. The unglamorous half, and the half that decides whether the garden survives.
- 04
Planting
Stock comes straight from our nursery, so it is not sitting on a lorry for a week first. Planted, staked, mulched and watered in by our own team.
- 05
Handover
A written care schedule for everything planted, and a walk-through so you know what needs doing and when.
- 06
Aftercare
A follow-up visit at one month and three months is included. Ongoing maintenance is optional and quoted separately.
